People say it is a small world. And, lately, I agree. I have been meeting several people who are looking for a photographer that know my son, (and I did not find that out until after we booked our session), and who know somebody that I know! Take Phil and Cindy for example. A few months ago, I received a call from Laura in Chicago who was looking for a photographer for her parents. Her parents were renewing their vows at St. Annes Church in Oswego, and wanted to capture their beautiful ceremony and have some "formals" taken after. We connected, and I was graciously given the honor to do this.
After several conversations over the course of a few weeks, everything was solidified and we were set to go. The Saturday before the ceremony, I was at the movie theater and ran into Phil, an employee of the theater, who I met when my daughter worked with him several years ago. (Now, I know Phil and have seen him on occasion, but never knew his last name.)
Our conversation went like this: Phil" Do you have any relatives that do photography?"
Me: "Not that I am aware of, why?"
Phil: " Are you photographing a ceremony at St. Annes next Saturday?"
Phil: "Because it is me and my wife!"
Ha! Small world..if I had known Phil's last name, everything would have been connected right away, of course, but I am glad I did not because this surprise was wonderful.
It is a small world. We are all connected in some way or another and we have an impact on every life we come upon; whether it is positive or negative. Phil and Cindy's ceremony was beautiful, and I was so thrilled to be a part of it.
