What do you do when your own parents come into town to visit? You have a portrait session, of course!
We have known the Berry family since Jillian, who is now two, was just three months old, and are so thankful we have the opportunity to see them every year!
Stephanie and Chad, Jillian's parents, understand the value of heirlooms and having their images displayed in their home, so they usually end up with beautiful canvas wall art pieces, and because they are part of our Heirloom family VIP's, they receive all their digital files complimentary.
The location was the beautiful Hudson Crossing Park in Oswego, IL, a great location for sessions, and as you can see, the colors chosen are absolutely perfect. What is worn in a session is just as important as the location, what camera I am using, and what lighting we are bringing. You will still be you, but if all the clothing is mismatched or torn, the image is not going to bring out the best! (unless of course, you are going for that look!)
It is all part of the vision, meeting together, discussing what is important, and following through. That is why we do what we do!
So, how valuable is it having portraits with your own parents? Your children's grandparents? We believe it is priceless. Grandparents will cherish portraits with their own children and especially with their grandchildren. And, when your children are older, they will love seeing themselves as a young child with their grandparents, too.
As with all our multi generational sessions, we take several different sub sets of the family. Why? Because when we ask the parents and grandparents the questions, "When was the last time you had a portrait with each other?, the response is usually a laugh, and then "I don't even know!". I always say then, "Well, that is too long!" So, we take care of it for you.
